of Indian seniors experience chronic loneliness

Why Companionship Matters

Isolation isn't just about feeling lonely — it impacts physical health, cognitive functions, and general mental well-being. Indian seniors living in Delhi NCR, especially those whose children work in other cities or abroad, deserve a companion to check in on them, share a smile, and listen to their stories.

MyMittr bridges that gap. Our companions are selected for their emotional intelligence, listening skills, and caring nature. We match our companions with seniors who share similar interests or languages, ensuring a genuine bond is created.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are MyMittr companions?
Our companions are empathetic, verified individuals, often retired professionals or social care graduates, who possess a deep respect for elders and are trained in communication, empathy, and active listening.
What happens during a companionship visit?
Visits are centered around the senior's choices. This can involve conversations over tea, reading news, playing cards, board games, walking around the colony park, or showing them how to use video calls.
Do companions provide medical nursing?
No. Companionship focus is purely non-medical (emotional and social wellness). However, companions can provide medication reminders and note vital signs. If clinical nursing is required, please check our Home Care services.
How do you match a companion with a senior?
We look at parameters like spoken languages, cultural backgrounds, mutual interests, location proximity, and personality types (introvert/extrovert) to ensure a comfortable initial connection.
Are the visits monitored?
Yes. Every visit start and end is logged on our system, and companions submit a post-session summary to the family members detailing what activities they did and how the senior's mood was.
